The Redo Short Cut…we wish life had one of these.

Thanks for stopping by to read our blog. If this is your first time with us please feel free to check out our other posts. We have a number of them on varying topics. The past few productivity tip posts have been about the Undo” short-cut. We thought we should give you a way to undo the undo in case your undo was a boo-boo. We call it the “Redo” short cut.

Here is how you might use the short cut.  If you have used the “Undo” short cut and went a step too far, reverting more than desired, the “Redo” short cut comes to the rescue. This will redo, what you undid…or as my seven year old explained to my wife what I was blogging about, “it redos what you undoed.”

Here is the short cut:

Push down and hold the “Ctrl” key, then hit the “Y” once.

Each time you hit the “Y” key it will redo. It can also act like a paste button in certain applications, but that is a different short cut.

Now you try it, pass it on to another budding keyboarding enthusiast, and tell us when/how you use it. Have any efficiency tips to share? Pass them on to us and we will pass them on to our customers and blog readers…you could become famous!!

  3. Hello there! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog. Is it tough to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about making my own but I’m not sure where to start. Do you have any points or suggestions? Many thanks
